I`am not techy type. I not try to keep up with the latest technology. But I have to whrite about my favourite piece of technology, so I have to just. My favourite piece of technology is my laptop, I have since two years. I use for my work in the university

Notes:
a) Remember to mention who or what you are talking about:
I’ve had my laptop … = I’ve had it / I use my laptop … = I use it / I miss my mother = I miss her / etc.
b) We use “be” (am/am not-is/isn’t- are/aren’t) + nouns (sustantivos) / adjectives, Ex.
I am a lawyer / I ‘m not hungry ; She’s my sister / She’s not tall; We are students / We aren’t tired
But, when we express negative ideas using verbs in present simple we use: don’t/doesn’t + simple form of verbs, for ex. I don’t like … / we don’t know… / she doesn’t take…etc.
c) There two ways of making negative sentences with “try”:
1. I try not to be late, meaning: I make an effort not to …
2. I don’t try to: I have no intention to …
d) With time expressions like “for” and “since” we use: Has/ have/had + Written/ spoken/had /told/ said/been/ etc. Ex. I have had this TV set since 1989 / for 10 years / We have been friends since I was 10 years old/for many years

I am not THE techy type AND I DON’T try to keep up with the latest technology. But I have to write about my favourite piece of technology, so I have to DO IT.
My favourite piece of technology is my laptop, I have HAD IT FOR two years. I use IT for my work in the university.
